I agree, fun trail for sure. But Traction is everything there. I do the off chutes too, my sliders have saved my cab there multiple times going up some rocky sections. Heck going down one of the off chutes and getting stuck at a steep angle is what forced me to get an exhaust reroute and new high clearance skids. Fun trails but going up that stuff this time of year is risky. The portions in the shadows stay frozen often and any bit of ice/snow make line choosing a gamble still.

Because insurance fraud? Insurance will either cover it or not. Cleghorn is a named forestry road. He'll be out his deductible.

It was a joke. He was using his truck for “recreation” so it should be covered no prob

Yeah I wasn't expecting to go on many runs but ended up getting stuck in with the jeeps hitting their roof racks... Lot of damage today in the snow/mud

Yeah might have to go that route depending on the cost. Was gonna spend all my money on new shocks and tires, then skid plates, and front then rear bumper, but I guess today flips that.

I think I asked my farmers agent about this before I ever even went off roading. They said off-roading is covered in a grey area but they treat it as an "at-fault" accident. I will see what I wanna do after I get a quote tomorrow from the dealer. Anyone in the 562 know an honest mechanic/body shop?

The fireroads were no problem. It was all those runs inbetween that the jeepers like to test their rigs on that got me good.

I don't think they do any body work, but RPM garage in Monrovia are some great guys and may be able to take care of you. Good prices, excellent work.

Sweet photos Helix66. I have the caliraisedled rock sliders with 0 degrees on them. They saved me from a lot of body damage today.

Unless you have an ABS warning there isn't anything wrong with it. I've never met anyone that has damaged those sensors, and as far as I've seen myself, those sensor guards are pointless.

Depending on how hard you hit the rock you could have a couple things going on. Possible things: bent spindle, bent inner tie rod, flattened a cam tab, and more shit that I can't think of. The VSC warning can come on whenever your alignment is thrown out of position, it receives an input from the steering wheel angle, so whenever it gets knocked off center it can throw out VSC.

Fixing the VSC would involve identifying/fixing what threw the the steering wheel off center and resetting the VSC. On the second gen it's a simple procedure, but I don't know what it is for the third gens.

Yeah, dry you'll be getting into trouble, wet for sure and guaranteed in snow.

If you get a HC bumper I'll bet there has to be a way to rig the BSM to work. I'm not sure what the sensor looks like but maybe some kind of opening in the steel with a plastic cover.

I’m not entirely sure but this sounds like your suggesting insurance fraud...
