Just upgraded from Gen 1 2001 to a Gen 3 2020 TRD Sport after 19 yrs. Looking at mods. Toughest looking side wall tire with quiet ride on road. No off-road in future. Yes going for look.

The new Toyo Open Country AT/III look pretty mean. I run a 265/70/17 on my 2013 TRD Sport. Its bone stock and I love those tires. I have the AT/2. I got 67,000 out of my first set.

I dont have any road noise at all with the AT/2's I likely will need new tires in the spring and plan on getting a set of the AT/3's

I’d look for something with a C load or SL load rating, keep the weight down in the mid to low 40lb range, 265 70 17 for size

I have Nitto Terra Grapplers and they are not doing very well. They are cupping on the inside and wearing unevenly, even after alignment. This is the first set of Nittos that I have had issues with. I would recommend another option.

I went with General grabber A/TX. Nice look and more affordable than others and great reviews.

I have since this pic now removed the chin spoiler and mud flaps. Looks awesome!

Falken Wildpeak AT3W is a great option. If you want something that has a very aggressive sidewall with tame road manners, the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT is also a good choice.

I've got mickey thompson baja atz p3. They perform great on dry, wet, snow, slush, sand, offroad, etc. Overall very happy with them. Decently aggressive looking with good road manners 20180106_125455.jpg

I ran General Grabber AT2's 265/70r17 in SL on the truck I just traded in . Put 70k miles on them and they still had another 10k left when I traded truck in. Mostly highway miles. I'm also in the market for new tires. Would definitely go with Grabber ATX if they offered them in SL for 16in wheel, but they don't, so probably going Toyo Open Country AT3.

Seriously considering a set of ATZ P3 in 265/75R16. Comes in at 32 inches instead of the usual 31.7, and they last a long time.
