2 in spacer lift front 2, in AAL rear [tundra leaf] , flip up tow mirrors, ARE shell electric brake controller and cooper ATP 265/r70x16 tires on stock TRD wheels
The cars of the 50,s with very few exceptions were front engine rear drive so that big chunk of iron in front did nothing for traction and neither did the bias ply tires but that boat still come right out and up the ramp.

Trucks have about 0 weight (relatively) on the rear axle unless they're loaded. Traction is always an issue.

So I have a 15 TRD OR DCSB with "Offroad Tow Package" I should still have the 6500lb tow rating right?

I have a 3k pop up and every once in a while I will tow a 3k boat as well.

You are good to go provided you have trailer brakes. [required in most states if trailer GWR is < 3000 lbs or < 2000 lbs in some states].

    I would be concerned.

    I have an 08 Taco, V6, 2WD, which has a 6500lb towing capacity.

My boat is a 21 foot Yamaha jet boat, Boat dry weight + trailer = 4100lb.
With fuel and all the gear 4600+ pounds.

WARNING: Jet boats are LIGHTER that other boats. Your boat will probably be 5000+ easily. Better check.

My Taco has *just enough* power to pull it out of the water.
It also slipped like crazy the first time I tried. Had to put 3 big buckets of sand way in the back.
Also got tires with a great wet traction rating which helped a lot. I dont slip anymore at all.

But my biggest concern is the HP/Torque. Its just barely enough.

Im trying to find the cheapest solution for a little more torque. Its right on the line right now

I have 4wd. I doubt I will have a slippage problem. Plus the rear locker.

I hooked up my pop up Saturday and pulled it through the local mtns just to test it. Pulled it no problem.

GCWR on your truck is 11,100 pounds. Fuel up your truck, put the gear inside that you will be taking with you when towing. Plus passengers if any. Go weigh in at the scales. Keep the weight slip. Lets say it said 5250 pounds, subtract that from 11,100 and that means your tow cap is 5850. Adjust as needed.

The rated max tow capacity of a 2015 DCLB with tow package is 6300, DCSB with tow is 6400 and access cab with towing package is 6500.

The max you can weigh in at with your combo (truck+trailer) is 11,100 pounds. People are probably going over that all the time and they come on here and say everything is fine and dandy. They may have pulled the load, but it's not legal.

Full size trucks exist for a reason.

    Hope this helps.

Also need to factor payload so take the number you got from the scales and add in the tongue weight of the boat/trailer and check that against your GVW/payload. This is where most folks will go over capacity (even with a trailer that is well below the towing "capacity")....
