I had this one until it was stolen in the parking lot while I ate lunch.
Now I just have a $2 black rubber plug.

I haven't used it yet but it sure looks good installed! Build quality seems really nice, and good deal for ~$50.

Can you rotate it 90 degrees? If you can mount it with the D Shackle vertical. So you could pull an ATV back to camp or something like that.

Just a standard black plastic one for me, If you leave anything metal in your hitch here in MN you better really like it because its not coming out after a winter in there.

There may have been a little bit of gravel in the back when this picture was taken and I took the tailgate off to unload but it was the only picture I had handy. #HailStateIMG_20190126_105151~2.jpg

My son went to MSU my daughter at OMiss. Eggbowl was always fun we'd have a little party -

He was there during the Dak years and I actually went down on occasion to watch some of those games when MSU was
ranked high, saw Dak play in the flesh at MSU. Lived in Oxford but didn't care about OMiss that much or the party scene at
The Grove, it was a bit much for me, a little too hoity-toity for my tastes.

That was years ago, son came to visit us in Phoenix and never left LOL... heck we had to ship his car out here - now working
on his Master's degree at ASU in Computer Science,.. ( free-ride+salary )... ASU is light-years ahead of MSU or OMiss... that
kid will be graduating this spring and will make bank. Daughter will get her second Master's from OMiss and she'll be a hot
    commodity too...

    CowBells... whoo hoo..

I’ve had about 20 of them and not one has stayed attached for more than 30 days. No fancy ones because I hate that bullshit, but mine NEVER stay attached. Most recent one was a Reese Towpower one w/ spring-loaded flip cover and set screws to keep it attached to the receiver. Fell off like all the others between wheeling & carwash. Done with any and all of them. I’ll just toss my tow shackle in and call it a day if I grow tired of seeing the empty receiver.

I have the original black rubber cover that came with the truck nothing wrong with it. I would like to find something that lights up with a Toyota logo on it.

I had one that came on my 2001 tundra when i bought the truck new. I asked about the tacoma hitch plug after not seeing one on the truck when it was delivered. Dealer claimed toyota stopped that many years ago.

I’m currently in the market for one. Don’t tow often enough to leave a hitch ball in there, but can’t find any vanity plugs/recovery setups I like. Thinking of doing a hitch light setup of some sort.

Strange. Every tacoma i've seen here other than the gen1 ones never had those rubber toyota hitch plugs. Only saw an older 4runner with one.
