Id get the biggest sledge you can find (10lb'er sounds nice) and go to town hitting the part where the ball mounts while soaking the receiver area in a 50/50 mix of acentone and atf fluid

    Yeah.
Heat, PB blaster, BFH. Whack it hard and at several angles.

    Better, much.
I had a dodge lbj that wouldnt budge with heat/pb/impact/6ft breaker bar. Sprayed that stuff on it and waited 5 minutes. Lbj unscrewed with a 1/2" ratchet.

Hook a strap to it and have a buddy pull it out with his truck slow. Worked for me in the past

    Too few to list.
Hmmm... I don't remember if the receiver is open ended on the other side. If it is, maybe get a punch and hammer push the hitch out.

Why not just remove the whole hitch reciever. Wait until summer and mess with it in the warmth.

Drop the spare to give yourself more room in the back. Spray pb or your penetrating oil from both sides. Hit the hitch inward first then outward. You may have to work it a bit.

I have a neighbor with a nice Ranger that he pulls a 19' Com-pac with. He left the receiver in a couple of years, then could not remove it. (salt water launches, hitch gets submerged)

It's now been 2 more years, and I tried to help him remove it.

He's going to buy a new hitch.

Then just remove the hitch. Likely it won't be worth saving even if you manage to get the receiver out.

This is probably the best way to start and go from there

best idea yet- ditch the hitch if you don't need it - you may even get a couple mpg's back

    Yeah.
My first thought was to just replace the receiver, but I'd like to see pics of those bolts . . .

Seafoam Deep Creep. Spray it on and you'll see it disappear into the rusted area. Wait 15 min, hit it with a hammer and do it again. Should be able to shimmy it out after. Seafoam has never let me down
