This helped me so much when I was looking at buying a used one to make sure it came with the factory tow package, mine had the 7Pin in the bumper (2012 so no 4pin) so it was pretty obvious it was factory but I wanted to make sure.

Manuals do not have them. You could add one but you’d have to install an oil pump as well to actually move the oil to the cooler and back to the transmission. Manual transmissions run cooler than automatics by way of design and how they operate.

I used it daily when I was looking for the new Truck I wanted it was easy since Most dealers do put the VIN number and it came very handy to spot a local dealer telling me a BS story about a truck basically telling me that They added several items on at the Dealership as to why the price increase and yet there it was listed as installed at factory... I showed salesman that on my Phone he shut up rather quickly and I said whats the price now? he stammered and mumbled something about the manager sets things he can't change it .... Karl Malone Toyota never again will I step a foot in that place.

For the 2018 Manual transmission Trd Pro mine was listed on the Toyota Website to have the Engine Oil Cooler as part of the Tow Package, I do not know if this applies to any other grades or Years.

Engine oil cooler, not transmission oil cooler.

Yes, but the topic of the discussion is if the manual has a transmission oil cooler. The tow package for both manual and automatic has the engine oil cooler.

Right, we do not have a transmission cooler, cannot see a need for one.

Here is my window sticker, it clearly shows no transmission cooler for manual.

And will you show me where the OP Says in the First Post Manual Transmission? and that the Topic was purely about if the "Manual Transmission Has an Oil cooler"? I do realize that someone mentioned about the Manual Transmission Does NOT have an Oil cooler and that you could probably install one but would need a pump for it also and So what I Simply stated was on the Toyota Website it says that.... Tow package for the Manual is that there is an Engine Oil Cooler....

You quoted a post discussing whether or not the manuals had transmission oil coolers and stated you have an engine oil cooler. I think you misread the post you quoted. All good though.

I have a rough design in the works for a manual transmission oil cooler. Eventually, the info will find a way on to my build thread. Most folks do not need one.

I have seen a couple that you can purchase with electric pumps my only thing about them is that the Oil in winter time maybe to thick to flow well and could possibly overload the pump and without proper protection it may fry the pump, So something to keep in mind is a thermostatic controller that prevents the pump from coming on until the oil reaches an certain temperature first.

Already there, but appreciate the input! I'm looking at factory Toyota parts right now, but may branch out if required.

Yeah I was doing that with used, I know things could have been removed, etc, but still let me know what was originally with the truck. If I get new I definitely will be checking VIN's out to make sure of what it came with.

Thank you! According to the site, our truck has the v6 tow package from factory. Just wanted to be sure! Anyone know exactly what the ATF cooler looks like? I see the oil cooler in front of the rad, but thats it. I'll have to double check, maybe I missed it.

Okay, so I located the trans fluid cooler, which in my opinion if very important for any AT vehicle that will be towing more than a few miles. The ATF cooler is harder to locate that the trans fluid cooler. The engine oil cooler is located in front of the radiator, on the top, right side and looks to be about 10"x4" with low pressure hoses. The ATF cooler is located in front the rad at the very bottom. It is much larger than the oil cooler and appears to have high pressure lines.

The 10x4" is also an ATF cooler. The oil cooler is built into the oil filter housing and uses engine coolant to reduce oil temps.
