Real shackles generally come galvanized. In other words slightly silver colored that is dull and not shiny. If you want to be a "poseur" and hang them on your truck though, I would suggest pink.

No money, all went to truck...
Bottom of radiator is always a good hook point right?

Why would you hook on the radiator? I'd trust that big J hook over a demon bracket any day of the week.

Could you imagine throwing that hook on the crash bar that the demon bracket is attached to, a Tacoma owner would lose their mind, but they probably wouldn't give a second thought to yanking on a demon bracket.

I wouldn't pull from that bar regardless, but one of those options is going to cause more damage than the other.

Does anything say “poser” more than permanently installed color matched shackles?

Funny how everyone jumps on fake shackles but loves fake hood scoops.

I mean, if it comes with fake scoop , it came with it. Also a fake hood scoop won’t hurt anyone. Cheapo fake rings or brackets could potentially kill or injure someone if they are used like rated recovery gear.

No, I didn’t know if you were being ignorant or sarcastic. Either way is funny though.

If my fake hood scoop fails someone doesn't eat a 2lb piece of metal flying at 100mph right to the dome. What's your point again?

The Tacoma hood scoops really adds to the looks. Not sure why the OR packages did not have a choice?

How many people brought your Tacoma because of the hood scoops? if the OR package came with the hood scoops and the sports didn’t? Would you have upgraded?
    Aloha

the negative side the hood scoops they do block some visible .

If my OR came with a hood scoop I wouldn't have bought it.

Ahhh but the problem is my truck is still a 2wd, so while I love off-roading and taking the truck places it shouldn’t go, I know that I am doing something stupid so I gotta have the hitch shackle and a friend.

    Good point. But
I think the hood scoops looks “cool”. I purchase the OR because of the crawl controls and electronic locker.
And a long bed because I carry so much stuffs when I go camping and fishing.

I do miss the the space my full size lifted 1986 Dodge Ram 2dr, with the “8 foot bed” and HI- camper. With the straight front axles, limited slips units front and rear. But under 10 mpg. No lava roads could stop me.

My shackles is cosmetic. Tacoma hood scoops are also cosmetic. It is amazing how many people lift there trucks just for cosmetic looks.
    Aloha
