Towed first trip with camper in “D” with ECT PWR on

    I towed this 3000 miles last year , most the time in S5 at 65 (when i remember) and i only use the ECT in traffic or getting up to speed, S4 hills, it weighs around 2,000lbs loaded then add full family
    and full bed , as long as the trans is not hunting up and down, i just drive it.
    i think my truck should do ok as i towed that camper for 17 year and 35k miles with a 97 Dodge intrepid with 180K miles before i got my truck, without all this, do this or that crap or it will blow up..
    (just kidding) .
    Simply said if it is pulling hard then down shift / and when on a flat road and running smooth, well bump it up a gear or two.
