Towing a 2016 Corolla?

I can't really find any exact weight values.. trying to figure out if it would be safe to tow a 2016 Corolla with the taco. The girlfriend wants to get a RAV4, and unfortunately we're basically going to have to drive about 200 miles to get one. Shit.

Now there is "nothing" wrong with her corolla (other than the fact that it sucks), it's just that I refuse to ride 6-8 collective hours in that thing again. That damn car is the most uncomfortable vehicle I have ever ridden in... My back is still hurting from Friday. Driving on the interstate is obnoxiously loud, it has to rev to 5k just to try to pass or do anything. and in general it feels like it's all over the road and unstable... Can't calm my nerves with tunes because the speakers can't even touch the mediocre quality of the stock taco speakers. I could go on and on... but I mean these are the exact reasons that she wants to get rid of it. (Thank God)

So since we obviously can't trade it in if we don't have it with us, my solution was just to tow it up there so we can ride in the comfort of the truck. I know some people don't think the taco is comfortable, but it's day and night better than that damn Corolla haha.

So the family does have a trailer that's large and strong enough to carry a whole vehicle... But unfortunately it's older and we have no idea how much it weighs. I know I need to add the car's weight to the trailer... But eh. So instead I know they have those Dolly things which I believe we can use because to my knowledge the rear wheels on the carola should be free spinning.

Has anyone ever towed a car with a dolly a long-distance? Is it safe?

Towed over 800 miles (as @Tigerian mentioned above). It was no big deal, I just didn’t tow on mountain passes since there’s no brakes. Truck didn’t even really notice it back there and I averaged about 17 mpg

No I’m not sure what that guy is on about. The corolla is fine for short little drives but once you’re traveling a good distance the Tacoma is by far more comfortable. I had a corolla for 5+ years and the only thing I miss about it is the MPG.

Yeah see I never noticed it on short trips, I honestly have never ridden it from more than about 10 or 15 minutes and even then it didn't feel very good.
