    This is best practice to prevent blowing fuses in the tow vehicle.

    I remember seeing some guys would have a hitch on the front of their truck in the old days. :confused:

    Now here's a small hint that can work depending on conditions. It you have a receiver mounted on the front of your vehicle (folks do this to put a winch there) you can connect there and back out. Keeps your drive wheels high and dry. Just pay attention to the height of the water.

    I tow my 4000 lb boat out no problem, dont think I have ever had to use 4wd. Sometimes in a jam I've pulled my buddys 247 Malibu, 6000 lbs, Ski Centurion Enzo, prob 5500 lbs, and buddys new 24 foot pontoon out and up the ramp. Used 4LO and it pulls them all out no problem. Surprising how easy it was.
