Best way Ive found to tow any ford is go ahead and flip it upside down, slides easier...

other ways need a little pre info, how much will the mustang weigh, and what kind of trailer?

Stang is about 3200 pounds. Looking at the dual Axel trailer.

You will be fine as the Uhaul trailers come with surge brakes. Drive the speed limit and plan ahead when you stop.

Uhaul is really conservative with their weight percentages. I wouldnt be surprised if they wont rent a trailer to you with a tacoma as a tow rig.

I've done the Uhaul thing Upstate NY to NW CT. They are one heavy trailer and the surge brakes suck - at least the one I used did. They wouldn't activate with enough force especially when going around a downhill curve and it felt like the back end of the tow vehicle was being pushed sideways. In CT, I believe the Trailer Depot down in Branford rents trailers with electric brakes. Yes, you'll need to have a controller installed but they may rent those too. Maybe paying for a flatbed tow might be an option as the tolls to cross the bridges in NYC are quite high when towing a dual axle trailer. According to the port authority website, it costs $76.00 to cross with 4 axles (2 for the tow vehicle & 2 for the trailer)...

That's is indeed true. You might need to give them a "different" vehicle you want to tow. 89 isuzu hombre worked for me xD
