What is the spitball guess for can my taco tow this?
I haven't done it but might need to in the future. 2 and 5/16" ball.

It was no problem with the tundra. I know i should and will look up specific weights but I've seen dumber threads on here.

I’ve hauled 8k with the Tacoma, it’ll pull it but it’s super sketchy. Personally I wouldn’t.

The thread title was just too intriguing to not see what this was about.

To answer your question, there's only one way to find out

It's Friday. Pull it and let us know how it went from the waiting room of the shop!

I pull my tractor that size with a small trailer short distances. I have air bags to deal with tongue weight but it does fine

Yeah, that's a big fat nope. I pulled some 6K+ loads with the Taco and it did not like it one bit. I guess the weight of that to be around 12K.
    Edit to 10K.

Hell no. That bitch is upper 5k with the box blade. That's just the Deere. Add the dual axel trailer on top. Nahh.

If you can`t drive the Tractor it is to far to tow it with the Tacoma.

Then sometimes you gotta do things

I really appreciate the info! I briefly looked on the tractor weight but couldn't find squat.

My distances are under 6 miles on 45mph roads. Zero highway or interstate.

Is the 6 miles flat? If so I say try it. Go slow and anticipate stops. People on here have towed worse and been fine.

I personally wouldn't do it. If it was a 6 mile one time thing that was a last resort in an emergency situation. Maybe. Stopping is the issue.

Nope. My dump trailer is over 4k by itself. Pushing 9-10 plus with the tractor? I'd tow it with a real truck, not a 4x4 car that looks like a truck.

#1 i don't want to endanger anyone on the road. With that said i feel like getting the tongue weight correct is as important as the load weight for my short trips. It's a family members tractor that I bum when I can to take care of small projects. We are in a very rural part of north Ga. As many tractors as i get behind every single day on lunch breaks and afterwork I should probably just drive it to the work site when I need it and can't borrow a full size truck.

Thanks for the input everyone. Y'all have a good weekend!

Which model tractor is that? The dump trailer is 2K or more I would guess. I am pretty sure your gonna be overweight. I have a 1025R (small compact Deere) and a 20ft dual axle trailer that puts it about 5K with implements, I would guess that tractor is much heavier, depending on the model of tractor and the size of the trailer, you may have been pushing close to the max tow on the tundra...lol

The "distances" makes it sound as if it would be a regular thing or multiple locations and transports. I'd say if it was that close, drive the tractor and strap some fuel to it somehow. Those ag tires aren't going to be happy though.
