So I have a 2005 Prerunner 6 cylinder Double Cab. No tow pkg. rated to tow 5200 gvwr. Spoke to dealership and they indicate the truck has a built in tranny cooler and i'd be safe to tow between 3000/3500 lb trailer. I am installing brake controller, 7 pin tow harness. Gonna be towing a 2017 Coleman Lantern Ultra Lite 17FQ dry weight of 3200 lb. will be using a weight distribution hitch/anti sway. Does anyone see any issues or concerns ?

Why don't you take some time and add a tranny cooler. great insurance for about 100 bucks

I am pretty sure you only get the stock tranny cooler if you have the tow package... Am I wrong? Any way it is pretty simple to/ go bigger and it wouldn't hurt.

You are correct. Most folks get rid of the stock cooler and go aftermarket if they plan on a lot of towing.
