I can't help you with that question, but how much does your camper weigh and how does it feel to tow it?

Thank you, exactly what I needed, besides the $900 price tag.

20ft 4800lbs loaded, I live in So-cal with plenty of climbing. I have only pulled 100 miles, so far so good. No issues on big climbs, down the mountain or highway at 60. I am a novice and have taken it slow. Rear end drops an inch when hitched.

Might be a stupid question, but the links you provided weren't anywhere near $900. Is there another part that needs to be purchased? I'm intrigued by this wireless trailer camera.

It's pretty close to impossible to add if it didn't come with the truck. I've got a thread detailing my research on this system on the other forum. But need to update it a bit further.

    You need the :

    The camera itself
    2x WiFi Antennas
    1x Trailer Camera ECU
    Associated Harnesses
    Factory Rearview Digital Mirror System

So far, we've got part numbers for everything except the harness(es) and the ECU.

The AUX camera then needs to be enabled by reflashing the circumference monitoring system. There's a harness that connects the park assist ECU to the trailer camera ECU. If that connection isn't there after the AUX cam is enabled, the truck will throw a DTC. This is also documented in a thread on the tundra forum somewhere.

I thought initially that the trailer camera ECU was integrated with the park assist ECU. But I believe they are two separate components, as my truck did not show it on the appropriate bus when scanning the CANBUS (according to TIS it should show up on BUS6).

So basically - if it didn't come with the truck - I won't say you're completely SOL - but it may be incredibly difficult to do it, or cost prohibitive. I'm pretty frustrated myself but it is what it is.

Yeah. It's really sucks. But here's another nice clue as to Toyota tipping off that it's not for post-production install.

    https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/repo...9Hodh7dPSZdsqeV9i7owNw==&fcc_id=ACJ932A-TA220

That's the FCC filing for the actual "WCS System", submitted by Panasonic.

Check out the Attestation (Professional Installation Declaration).

    (3) "States that the product will not be sold to the general public .....only to the manufacturer for installation on the assembly line."

But, once again, hypothetically, it could be added on. Getting all the parts will be pretty difficult. Ripping out the headliner to rewire everything will be a huge pain too.

As much as I'd like to add it on myself... don't think the juice is worth the squeeze here.
