I pulled my super Tenere from Omaha across Iowa this summer with no issue. I averaged about 17 mpg. I also pulled a corolla from Colorado and averaged 17-19 mpg. I’ve got no issues towing with this truck. I’ve also got a 7x14 halmark cargo trailer and a 7x16 open utility trailer that i use on a almost weekly basis. Proper loading of the trailer is probably the most important thing to keep in mind towing with these trucks.

Double axle will have less sway than a single axle. I own a variation of both.

180th and Dodge, I'd assume the Broadmoor apartments right there? I live off 204th and Dodge so not overly far. Welcome in advance. I wish you seriously the best of luck in your move. We are supposed to have some weather this weekend, but It is looking like it's going to all be north of the interstate, and usually when that happens we get very little if any of the predictions. That should really help you out. I HIGHLY recommend you go to Pitch Pizzeria coal fired pizza, to celebrate the move, it's right off 180th and Dodge and fantastic.

What do you do for work that's bringing you to Omaha?

Not sure exactly where we'll be but we're staying in STL for Christmas and heading up to Omaha on the 28th, hopefully, the weather stays mild. I just looked at a "best of" list for Omaha this year and I'm very excited to check out Pitch!

    Dwight,

Nashville has no bypass if you are staying on 24, but as long as you time it where you avoid rush hour it should be manageable. Atlanta is higher risk of no notice traffic jams.

I've pulled a camper to Montana a couple times and mileage takes a hit north of KC. I attribute it to gas blends in NE.

Surge brakes on a uhaul make it near impossible to back up a steep incline as there is no lockout on a uhaul. Probably won't see much hills in NE, but something to keep in mind.

How long had you worked around gunships?

I moved from New York to Las Vegas Nevada towing at 6000lbs and truck did fine. Dont worry at all.

I'm old school for pizza in Omaha and like mamas and big freds along with lacasa every now and then. omaha isn't to bad overall if you end up working downtown or midtown, rush hr can cause you some headaches. Hope the road trip is going well.
