So I find myself in a position where I have tow a 16' cargo trailer, not fully loaded, 6hrs to my destination. Weather forecast is calling for snow. I understand using ECT button, but if the hwy is particular slippery, can I use the 4x4 Hi as well? All hwy driving, speed limits vary between 50 and 60 mph, not that ill be driving that fast. Winter tires unfortunately are at my destination :(
Any concerns on using ECT with the 4x4Hi
    Thanks
    Scotty

It wont hurt to run 4Hi with ECT. I would strongly advise that you watch the weather closely though. Snow by itself isnt bad if you take it easy, but slippery conditions with a crosswind while hauling a box trailer - that there has the potential to kill you. If you feel like its getting windy, consider either a slow crawl or postponing the trip.

    4x4 is fine

just take it easy and you’ll be fine. People have issues when they drive too fast for the conditions.

Thanks for the replies. It will be a slow and easy trip for sure. Just never thought about being in a position where I have to tow in slippery weather.
One I hope Ill never have to do again.

Trailer brakes? If so, or should say hope so. Just re-adjust them for the snowy conditions. I do this with my 14' tandem axel cargo trailer. I keep a note book on brake controller settings, for different conditions, and weights with trailer
