Towing mirrors

has anyone found a set of towing mirrows that works well with a 17 taco?

 

Bumping this - I need a set of mirrors pronto. I am also interested in a permanent fixed solution but clip-ons that don't suck and/or blow off at interstate speeds will get me by initially.

Are the options on the 2nd gen forum still in play for '16+ or has the mounting changed?

 

Everything I have found are either clip or clamp on and look pretty ghetto. My worry is the colour matched portion of the mirror assembly is going to get destroyed. It doesn't seem that the aftermarket has much interest in making a proper set of mirrors.

 

Yeah. That seems to be the case. $15-30 plastic junk or nothing.

 

They got ones like this on eBay. I'm sure it can be customized to fit the newer Tacomas.

 

We didn't cheap out when buying a mid sized truck so I don't see many of us willing to ghetto mod our shiny new truck with parts that don't fit and then bastardize them. We are already complaining about the cheap universal fits nothing mirrors so what do we gain by taking something else that doesn't fit and making it look just as horrible?
