Can anyone tell me what the difference between the SR5 4x2 Double and the SR5 4x2 Double LB is? I see it comes in about a $600 difference, but would like to know what the feature is?

An aftermarket is way better than the weak factory one.

This is on my list to do.

...^^^... The difference should be a lot less than $8,000. ...... How do you get that number, just curious??

The SR 4 cyl. comes in at $23,000 but doesn't have a tow package option.

In order to get a tow package you need you get a V6, which comes in at $30,000. So the number would be $7000

...^^^... IMO .. you will stress that 4 cylinder a lot with constant towing and on a DC/SB.

    OP ... I got a SR5, AC/LB, 4x2, V-6, Auto, Tow, SiriusXM, tint and it was less ... IIRC.

The double cab four cylinder auto towing 3000lbs will be slow, really slow. That being said, I would do it if you are doing mostly flat areas and no big hills (which as a landscaper I would assume is the case). I have faith that the four cylinder will run until the truck rusts to dust.

I would love to know the price and I assume it was brand new truck with no mileage? I'm getting these MSRP prices from Toyota.com. Not sure if that's what is giving it the higher price. Please let me know.

Does that have a towing package? 4-door or 2-door?

The best I can find on a 4x2 V6 doublecab is like 31,000-32,000 out the door

...^^^... You will need a tow package to haul your equipment ... I would look for OEM tow package to get the transmission cooler and higher amp alternator, IIRC.

I am outta here ... good luck OP

Actually a double cab. I don´t know where you are, but this is in Oklahoma, so of course the prices will be different, especially if you are in California.

OP, that truck in the link you provided does have a tow hitch. Don´t know if it was added aftermarket or not. As you can see how well the Taco holds its value, a 2015 with 27,000 miles on it is going for 28,000, when you can get a 2016 with no miles for a little more. Of course you may have a bit more negotiation power with the used one.

Yeah, but it's either an offroad or sport model.. higher model than the sr5 and a lot more features including the hood scoop/wheel&tires/runners/wheel covers and more on the interior on sure.

The dealer says it does have the towing package(engine cooler, alternator, battery),but not the ball receiver.

That's a lot to tow daily with a 4 cyl, even a v6 mileage will suck, you'll struggle up hills, and it's a lot of strain. You may want to look into to something with a v8
