What are your thoughts on weight and the longevity of the truck?

Looks awfully heavy. How much does the tractor and trailer weigh?

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
Looks like it's tongue high. The trailer should be level.

Otherwise, if you're within the weight restrictions, in all areas, the truck will be fine.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.

^ this, and I hope you have trailer brakes, and don't tailgate anybody.

Agree. Looks like the tractor could be moved forward on the trailer to level it out.

Need to see a picture of the trailer coupler and hitch along with a side view picture of the trailer and truck parked on level ground, and pictures showing how you are securing the tractor to the trailer.

You may get more feedback by posting in the Towing forum.

Highly recommend that you read the Towing Guide from start to end.

Looks like the tractor is on the trailer in the perfect location to me. You don't want all the weight on the tongue. Looks to me like the heavy portion of the tractor is just in front of the trailer axles, right where it should be. Moving all the weight forward just puts unnecessary wear on the truck's rear suspension. I spent a lot of time hauling tractors/backhoes in a previous job.

The tractor appears to be correctly positioned.

Those tractors don't weigh much. He's probably got 4k lbs there total.

The smallest that the tractor appears to be is a model B which weighs 3300lbs. The trailer appears to be 2000lbs, so 5300 total. Somewhere around 550-600lbs is about the desired tongue weight. In my experience to achieve that the tractors rear tires need to be on the trailers rear axle.

The only accurate way to know the actual tongue weight is to measure it with something like this:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sherline-LM...784?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cd0e4da50

A couple inches closer/further to the hitch on the trailer can make a huge difference in tongue weight.

I know this because I have a Deere tractor on a trailer and I use the Sherline tongue weight scale to know the exact position of the tractor on the trailer so that the tongue weight is not greater than 650lbs.

    More info here: http://www.sherline.com/lm.htm

What model is the tractor? I will tell you exactly how much it weighs. Does it have cast wheel? Those normally weigh about 3600lbs.

I prefer johnnypopper.com. This is where I find my antique John Deere date. The tractor weighs 2800 lbs., I have had it on a scale. What trailer brake kit do you all prefer for the tacoma? Is there any way of easily hooking this up on the Tacoma without running wires all the way to the read of the truck? Thank you all for all the replies!
