Definitely this is a good one to get. I have it in my truck and like it way more than that Tekonsha Primus IQ Champing world sold me for the Jeep I had. With the knee air bag there isn't many good locations to mount a traditional style brake controller. The Red arc is also proportional even the Liberty model. The Liberty model is what I have. It doesn't have the same manual and off road modes the elete has and can only control up to two axles but it meets my needs 100%.
I only tow a pop up that's probably half the weight of the OPs Camper so I can't say anything about weight distribution hitch and or sway control but you definitely want something. Towing safely is important.
Watch a few videos about towing. Maybe drive with the camper a little bit and try to make the first one or two trips shorter. Don't try a cross country trip till you are comfortable with the whole rig.
Backing up seems to be the most difficult thing for me to master. Regular driving forward isn't so bad just remember you need more room the accelerate, stop and to change lanes, plan your moves more in advance than when you aren't towing.

I would bet the trailer has electric brakes...99% bet! You will need to install a brake controller on your Tacoma. Look at Redarc, you may be able to install yourself?
Are you using an anti sway bar? Look at EZ Hitch. That will help your ass end not to
dip so much. Been there, done that.

A brake controller is essential, it adjusts the amount of braking on your trailer from your Tacoma. I was a "rookie" and had a cheesy unit installed under my dash with a slide adjustment that constantly needed to be monitored and knocked it with my knees every time I got in and out of the cab. Redarc!

Yes to that list and add a fresh water hose and water filter. Don't forget the biodegradable RV toilet paper! We've taken 15 trips in our RV since last May of 2021 and are learning something every time we go out. Keep your first couple of trips local in case you screw up or forget something. My wife had a shit fit when we were dry camping at Carlsbad State Beach and I couldn't run the generator (no generators before 10:00am) to make her coffee with her electric coffee maker. **Get an old school percolating metal coffee pot for coffee on the stove*** I ended up taking her electric coffee maker into the restroom to plug it in there!

Pour over is great too. We use this one with an insulated carafe. There are single cup options too.

Any chance you have those jump seats for sale? Or at least the bottom cushion?

I think that, I will hang on to the rear seat parts. In case someone in the family ends up with this truck, and they may need to haul their rug rats around. Thanks for asking!
