I have a 2011 with a 4.0 L, 4WD that has just over 119K miles on it. I had transmission, front & rear differential along with transfer case service done at 75K at my local dealer. Truck now has 119K. I'm buying a BASS boat that weighs close to 3000 lbs, dual axle trailer with surge brakes. My question is : Should I get the same service that I did at the 75K time or wait till the 150K mileage?? I've never had a tranny, engine, brake or other issue to my knowledge. (Fingers crossed of course)

I also see advertisements for my years brakes and wondering, should I spend the $$$$ for these kits?? Does anyone have a suggestion whose to buy?? Or most importantly Who To Stay Away From !!!

I'm going to need this truck to be driven for many more years and probably over 200K miles.

Thanks for your time to address my concerns.

It's a bit early, the big thing is to make sure the rest of the truck is in good shape. No sagging rear springs, its due for shocks if it hasnt been done yet. Also ensuring the brakes are adjusted in the rear makes a big difference.

    I would change them, it's at 44k
    I do mine every 50k
Dirt bikes a boat and 4x4 I can't be to cautious.
But mentioned above is good stuff too. Sag and brakes are a must ...need to get my fronts done:anonymous: is a good place to start oils can wait a min but if you can't stop...well yhea lol that wouldn't be good.

For 3000 lbs or less nothing special is needed.
