I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad, 2WD with a 2.7L engine. It's a basic model and it did not bring the towing package.

I would like to tow a boat with it, 19 foot

other than a hitch is there anything else that is recommended that needs to be added to make it tow ready?

Thanks in advance for the help. New to the taco world.

The boat length isn't important. How much will it weigh along with the motor, fuel, and anything else in the truck. Auto or manual transmission matters too. If an auto you'll need a transmission cooler.

At best 2000-3000 lbs max trailer weight as long as you're on fairly level terrain and with nothing in the truck but a driver. You can't tow much of anything with a Tacoma AND load up the truck with a lot of weight.

I live in Florida, which is all flat ground. Truck has an auto transmission.

Send it. I had an 82 s10 with a 2.8v6 that was used for 20 years pulling a 16’ trailer of landscaping equipment. Had way less power and torque than your truck has and did the job in Ohio and Kentucky hills.
