I just bought a 2021 Taco and my first time towing a travel trailer. I have a good weight distribution bar and my trailer is an ultra light but the wind pushed me around a little and I am wondering if there is any more I can do to help with this?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

The wind is the wind. Even 18 wheelers get blown around by the wind. Not much you can do to minimize the wind effect. It’s really dependent on the surface area of your trailer, the aerodynamics of vehicle and trailer, and the velocity and direction of the wind. Not really anything you can do.

Well..... you could slow down or delay driving until the wind reduces.

Or get a trailer with a lower profile and more aerodynamic.

The options are limited to mitigate the effects of wind.

A little more info about both the truck and especially the trailer would help. The trucks actual payload and information about how much weight is in the truck including passengers and cargo would help. And trailers advertised as ultralight can vary between 2000-5000 lbs, how much does yours actually weigh and what is the length? A weight distribution hitch helps spread the weight out with trailers on the heavy side, usually not needed with an "ultra light". But sway control bars will help.
