Purchased a Toy Tec Boss lift kit for my 2015 4runner in November 2014. Paid a mechanic to install the kit a month later. The front shocks squeaked immediately after install. I called Toy tec and was told they got a bad batch of squeaky shocks and that I could send in my shocks for replacement.

The big problem was the I would then have to pay my mechanic to remove the shocks from the vehicle and coil springs and then pay shipping back to Toy Tec. This amounted in hundreds of dollars in labor and shipping fees (I live in Hawaii.) I decided to live with the noise instead of loosing out hundreds of dollars.

This week one of the front shocks began to leak oil. I have less than 8000 miles on my 4Runner and use that vehicle as a daily driver on pavement. My Tacoma is my off road vehicle.

I called Toy Tec to see if they could help me with this situation and was offered a 10% discount. What an insult! I purchased 3 Toy Tec lifts in the past 2 years for my vehicles and get told by Justin at Toy Tec "You gotta do what you gotta do".

Im letting everyone know Toy Tec has garbage customer service. Thanks for nothing Toy Tec!

I ordered a few items from them, one of which was an OME trim packer...it wasn't included in the box. Gave them a call and they asked that I check the packaging once more. So I did, and it still wasn't there. They overnighted (or two-day ship, I can't remember) the trim packer to me. No complaints here.

To be fair, warranty does not cover labor. That is pretty much the standard in this industry.

They should have however tried and helped you out with the shipping.

That's my only comment on this. :)

I am in the retail business and have several stores. I expect suppliers to take care of their customers just as I take care of my customers. Not every customer is right but there are circumstances that come up where the vendor/seller should give a little extra care in taking care of that customer. Toy tec says they test all of their shocks, that seems far fetched as they admitted to me that they had a bad batch of BOSS shocks that squeaked. Either their quality control manager is not doing his/her job or they sold a bunch of bad shocks and hoped no one would complain.

I was totally willing to pay for a replacement set, dealer cost would have been fine and fair, it would have cost them nothing as I would still have to eat the shipping. The whole 10% discount was just adding insult to injury. I hope King has better customer service im switching over to King getting rid of this toy tec garbage on my Tacoma and 4Runner. Guess Toy Tec has no interest in making things right. Bright side is I got dealer cost on both sets of Kings.

You have really great pricing on the King setups! Is the shipping calculator correct? $97 for front and back Kings to Hawaii?

    Replied back to your PM.

That pricing is only to the lower 48 states.

But, I can definitely get you taken care of.

    Thanks
