The new Ranger is selling in Australia and other countries. I saw them on advertised on a contest feed I was watching. It will be available here any time...

There is no way in hell I would give up a Taco for the current available Ranger in the US, they drive so badly, the MPG sucks balls, the ride sucks, the handling sucks, just an awful truck.

BTW... the Ranger was the best truck/car I ever had.... (so far)

If you insist on a Ford buy a big one. You can't even get 2 bales of hay in the bed of 4 door Ranger much less some one a shade over 6 foot.

I drove the Rangers for work. They are smaller in the interior, leg room. and all. I think they have a better pickup than any factory Taco. I could smoke the shit out of the tires. Ford Motor Company ,in my opinion, makes better motors.

Idk about the bed issue you've had, I could fit my arctic cat in my ranger but wouldn't fit in my taco bed. I'm no fan boy of either ford / Toyota, just stating my opinions.

    Bahahahaha

Stock 4.0L 4x4 5AT Ranger makes about 165 hp to the wheels. They have a hard time getting under 17 seconds in the 1/4 without mods. In the last CR test the 4.0L Ranger was slower than their 5MT 109 hp GD3 Honda Fit by 0.2 seconds in that respect.

That motor hasn't changed a bit since 1997, other than minor updates.

Although I have to say the gearing on that 5AT is killer. Toyota should have taken a hint on that one. Only dropping 25% off the revs from 1-2 and 2-3 is a LOT of fun.

Oh no no no. It's enough we are here talking about them, don't be littering up this place by posting pictures of them. There's gotta be a limit here.

For all of you that are calling engines motors, motors are electric....you have an engine under your hood.... And I agree with the guy that says your dumb if you get a ranger. If you can't park a 2nd gen taco you have bigger problems....

I have had 2 Rangers and I don't consider myself dumb.

Oh, and that should be "you're." Since you are calling others out, you might as well get it right.

Merriam Webster would like to have a word with you... that is, unless things are so different up in the People's Republic of Kañada.

sorry, mr. capitalism. Guess I figured i could slip that past a bunch of stupid amerikhans. But you sir, caught that, congrats, glad you could figure out my mistake.

still, a motor is electric...ask eric the car guy on youtube if you want to hear it from a real mechanic.

    Canada>the united fails

dont you guys have a war to start for no justified reason, or something?
