Love the build OP! Been stalking the page for the past couple of months until I ordered my own DCSB OR in quicksand with a manual trans. Yellow fogs make all the difference come winter time where I live. I plan on purchasing a PIAA RF series yellow bar in addition to doing the same lamin-x film install. Not sure where or how I'd like to mount the bar yet.

Do you have any plans for plate bumpers? If so what brands are you leaning towards?

Yes I'd like to do bumpers but likely a year out. RCI's prototype, CBI, Pelfreybilt, or Demello are spiking my interest right now. Adding front & rear bumpers plus some additional lighting at the time will be a significant amount of $$$$. Plus I want a new mtn bike so it's going to be a battle on which happens first.

Thanks! I thought I didn't until I made a hard left at speed up on to a berm and there was a very slight rub. I got a lifetime alignment so will be taking it back to do a little tweaking.

 

Got my icon lift installed deciding between 275 and 285, why didn't you go with 285s ?

How are the 275s? Road noise? Mpg loss?

 

I live abt 3-4 hrs from the Seirra's where I do most of my playing so I thought I'd get a tad better gas mileage out of the 275's. Average is abt 17mpg. Figured I could later go 285 when these wear out but so far I'm liking them and will prob stick with 275's. The BFG's aren't bad for road noise

 

I can't decide lol. 265? 275? 285?

 

Split the difference and go 275. It's a tough decision

I only drove it from the dealer to home and home to the shop that installed the lift so not fully sure on how much I lost by doing the lift & tires. It's a truck so I never expected to get good gas mileage.

Got some time to install @mattgecko 's waterproof under bed rail LED lights and they are awesome! Even worked with my truckcoversusa tonneau cover by putting it under the canister. Great instructions with pictures made the install a snap. Excellent product!

 

How were the b-pillar vinyls attached? Was there any glue/residue to clean off?

 

Just started on an edge on a fairly warm day and peeled them off. There was very little residue I took off with some rubbing alcohol. I think the quicksand looks better without them.

 

I agree. I liked them at first- but that quicksand does look really nice without them. It's Amazing how much that changes the look.

 

Only caught one trout... and then one crawfish that wanted a bite out of that trout and became a bite himself. Then did some wheeling and thankful for quality @Joshp767 RCI front skid for doing its job.

 

toynado, any problems with the wheels not being "hub-centric"? I presume if i follow your build (lift, wheels and tires) I should get the same results in looks and ride. My Taco is slated to arrive this Friday (but my luck isnt that good), TRD Sport double cab 4x4 in blazing blue.

 

No problems at all. I got my wheels & tires through America's Tire so I figure they wouldn't have installed them if they wouldn't work.

Is that bed cover waterproof at all? Can you send more pics of it and how much was it? Maybe a link to it. Sorry if you already posted this.
