Guys I’m stuck between these two tires. Toyo MT and the Yokohama Geolandar G003. I’ve heard great things about both of these tires.. i don’t think i could go wrong with either but I’d like the MT with superior road manners since 90% of my driving will be on road.. I live in FL so wet driving is the norm on the streets.. no snow.. off road here can be very swampy and I’m not getting boggers or super swampers lol.. I’m coming from Ridge grapplers so I’d like something a little more aggressive..

Hopefully someone here has experience with both.

I’ve read some of the Yokohama thread it really has me leaning that way. The Toyo MT is so popular that i think their might be some bias because everyone recommends them.. thanks in advance

for the record: as of right now the Toyos and the Yokohamas are pretty close in price.. I’d probably save 80$ getting the Yokohamas over the Toyos so price really isn’t a factor

I just ordered a set of the Yokohama G003, should be getting them installed Wednesday. The only reason I bought them was how badass the sidewall looks and I've heard that these are the quietest MT tire on the market. I'll post an update on my thread once I have them installed.

I've had the Yokohama's for about 2.5 years prob 30K on them or so and they still have plenty of meat left on them. I've aired them down to about 10 psi and never had any concern of the bead breaking on them. other than on some super icy roads, they've performed really well. Great looking tire to.

I was researching both these tires for my truck. The weight difference was one thing that stood out to me, the Yokos are much lighter. For 285/75/16 the Toyos were heavier by about 7lbs. Not sure if that matters for you but for my 1st gen that makes a big difference!

On my second set of Yokos. For me, the Yokos were significantly lighter and at the time much cheaper which swayed my opinion to them. With these trucks any advantage for a lighter tire i'd want to jump on.
I say send it with the yokohamas

I definitely want to pick up a set of Yokohama Geolandar G003’s once my Falken Wildpeak AT3W’s wear down. Not sure if I’ll go with 33’s or 35’s, I guess time will tell once I know what lift I’m going with.
