    I have ran the P265/75R16 Toyo AT II's now have 70,000 miles on them now.
    almost (4) years of driving on them.
    Pro's:
    41lbs for a 32" tire (really light when you want to minimize unsprung weight)
    rated to 2601 lbs max. (131lbs higher than C class LT)
    Wear great!
    M+S rated

    Cons:
    Less aggressive look than LT versions.
    Wet traction is reduced as they wear.
    Tread depth not the deepest new, 13/16th

    The first 50,000 were completely trouble free. quiet/ little to no vibrations.
    Brand new they were an amazing upgrade from the 245 dunlops.
    Tested them in all conditions, snow, ice, slush, dry, wet etc and was consistently impressed with traction.
    Added some weight in the bed for the winter and never had any problems.
    Even when they stopped plowing the highways in upstate NY.

    Beyond 50,000 traction started to diminish. It started with wet conditions
    @60,000 miles they started slipping on hard take-offs on dry pavement.
    I am not talking burnout. I am saying slipping with a 4,000lb trailer and tonguw weight.
    Sipes are still present however the rubber does not seem to flex as it once did. less height=less flex=less stick
    Rotating the tires from left to right has helped get some extra life out of them as the leading edge of the tread block gets rounded.
    They are not bald but rubber has lost the majority of their rubber "sticky" feel.
    The sidewalls look / feel dry.
    With as many miles as I have on them, I do not expect much more from them and understand why performance has diminished.
    They have performed at or above all my expectations for the first 50K.
    Any mileage beyond this is a bonus.
    Its time for me to replace tem in the next 2 weeks.
    I have been comparing tires again.
    The Cooper AT/3 in c-load are tempting

    me too, had them for a few months on my pro, and got rid of them,, noisy and out of balance, and bad wear problems

    Am currently running Toyo ATII 295/70r18's, have had them on for 60k roughly and I'm finally replacing them today. Wanting to go with the same tire with a different size, because these ones rubbed just a little. I called my tire guy and he has 285/75 and 33x12.5, so I'm going to try both (update later).
    Like many other members, I've had some traction issues here towards the end of the tire's life, but I've always chalked that up to the truck barely weighing 2000lbs with me in it, and living in Colorado.
    Would anyone not recommend 33x12.5's?

    I had them and they were only ok, i wasn't overly impressed but didn't hate them. IMO there are better AT tires for both on and off road but I guess these do an ok job at compromising for both. I'm leaning toward the falken at3w for my next set but haven't entirely decided yet.

    1. How do I know what load range these are?

    2. I was also looking for manufacture date code on sidewall and couldn't find it. How do I find this? I didn't see a circle with a 4 number code.

    3. Mine are black sidewall lettering both sides of tire. If I order these again how do you find the ones with black lettering?

    4. What PSI are you all running your LTs at?


    Overall these have been good tires for me since my truck is my daily driver and I don't go off road frequently. Fairly quiet and smooth ride on highway for an A/T. tire. I've got about 40k or so on them. I did notice they seemed to be harder to keep wear even as they got older despite rotations every 5k and regular alignments. Got some slightly rounded edge wear both edges of tires and bit of feathering going on. Maybe I should have rotated every 3k. May have PSI a bit too low too. Usually keep them between 32-35 PSI.

    I too have the dry rot in the tread and am experiencing slip at times when accelerating from a stop on wet roads. No traction loss once I'm going though. Had tires on truck about 3.5 years so I guess I can't complain. I know these tires seem to be known for late dry rot, but is dry rot primarily just a function of age?

    You will be looking for part no.: 352630 to get bsw 285/75r16 in load E. Below is a link to Amazon that has them for pretty cheap. I run the 265/75r16 in load C and have been pretty happy, only have 6,000 miles so far though. I ran them in the past and did experience a little dry rot, but they were 5 years old and lived in an area that gets pretty darn hot. Toyo's are a good tire choice if you are looking for a well rounded tire. I know everyone is talking about Falken At3's being the best tire, but really they're just a cheaper option for people to have a moderately aggressive looking sidewall. Toyo's do great in snow, well on ice, okay in sand, okay in rocks, and can manage some mud.

    After researching for countless days trying to figure out if I was going to get a P265/75/16 or LT 265/75/16 I decided to go with the p rated and I’m soo happy I did. After reading all these post about the p rated not looking aggressive enough, I was worried that the tires would not look as aggressive as I wanted them to. But I really wanted the p rated because I wanted to keep the tire weight close to the stock tire weight. My suspension is still stock and I wanted the ride to be as close to stock as it could with the new larger tires. I am extremely happy with the P265/75/16 toyo open county at2. They look aggressive but not too much. They are smooth and quiet on the road, and the taller tire fills out the wheel well perfectly. If anyone is debating between the P and LT tires, and you don’t need the extra sidewall thickness, the P rated look great and ride smooth! 8135DAEB-794F-4A53-83D3-36E9270DC879.jpg

    Over the years I have had 4-5 sets of Toyo Open Country A/T ll's. [2 Rangers and F-150] Planning on getting them for my Taco. Always the LT's. I live in the Northwest,they do good in the rain,no complaints O/R.
