They maybe snow rated but I am sold on a true snow tire... I run Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV's in winter... so these Toyo's will see very little snow... as for driving style... my user name speaks for itself...:D

Do you have winters on a second set of wheels? If you do how do you deal with the tpms?

It's not a terrible idea, tbh. I may do the same as I plan to do a LOT of winter driving

Canadian MT trucks do not have TPMS. And yes, they are on a set of 2005 Tundra 16" wheels.

Another vote for the Falken's here. I'm on my second set currently. Switched the first set at about 48k miles...they could have probably made it to 60k honestly but I was going on an offroad trip so I just did it for peace of mind. They've performed flawlessly for me on dirt, sand, and especially in the snow.

Mine have also developed severe weather cracking on all four tires. Just filed a claim with Simple tire. We'll see where it gets me.

Somehow I liked your post when you posted it but I don’t remember reading it at all. I’m glad you posted, since you have the exact size I want. You’re the ONLY one with a picture able to show me what they look like, especially on a Tacoma. I dig through your posts and found a side profile of the truck - looks great, the tires don’t look miniscule at all to my eyes. I think this will be the ticket for performance I’m looking for.

getting mine mounted tomorrow morning, 9 hours from now! Honestly really excited. I just want the heavy tires gone.

I've had my toyo AT3s mounted for about 4 months now. Really a nice tire with good road manners and capable trail handling. So far the only thing that's been a problem is deep mud, but I feel that's to be expected with most AT tires

I went with this stock size for 2 particular reasons...the first being I didn't want a speedometer change and secondly (most important) these XL's weigh about the same as the HT's I took off. I do a lot of driving between Tampa and Zephyrhills (some highway and city stop and go) and still average between 21 and 23mpg.

Understood completely. I can understand running the larger sizes as well but for me I just have no reason to do so. I’d rather the mpg and power. It’s not like the smaller stock tires look bad anyways, that was my main concern was that they would look teeny tiny but they don’t. I’m not concerned at all and I’m excited to go get mine in an hour.

Got my tires. 265/65R17 116T XL. Aka stock size but a bit stronger and able to carry more weight than stock. Nice happy medium. So far so good; on the drive home they were really smooth and quiet. Time will tell how they hold up.

I think they look great and not small at all.

Big difference in performance over E KO2s, those were just way too heavy for my uses. These start rolling much easier with less clutch use and you can definitely feel the 16 lbs per tire that I shed off. I’m happy.

    None.
I press the TPMS reset button. Lower dash. Driver’s side. Tiny button.

About 3.5 years and 15k miles on the tires. California truck, never seen snow or any harsh conditions. First time I see tires this fresh go bad like that.

Tires can need replacement due to drying out in arid climates faster they they wear down due to miles.

I am in NorCal, so not much of hot weather here. Even if it was, three year old tires should not look like that, IMO.
