wow great info guys, thanks, it seems to me that it really comes down to $$$. IM getting a great deal from a friend that owns a tire shop 285/75/16s for $135 each tire balanced and mounted. I looked them up on Toyo.com and it says they are designed for full size trucks i thought maybe that was the reason why no one really runs these tires...my brother got 37" on 20" rim toyo m/ts for $1300 full mount and balance, brand new so it looks like that will be my choice. TOYO MTS it is, thanks everyone for the input!

i got some used ones from my cousin, just fronts, ill be getting new ones though they look a little beat up. It was an exchange for some drywall work i did for him at his home, he got some king coils so he had them in his garage and i didnt want to charge him and he insisted to i just told him to give me the shock and we can call it even so he did.

Toyo's will be my next purchase. A guy i work with has a 06 dodge cummins and he has 45,000 miles on them and the tires look like they will go another 15,000 or so. They are a dang good tire and worth the money. I found them on onlinetires.com in a 285/75r16 for $221 a tire. I also heard that if you get tires that are made in usa instead of china they will last longer just some food for thought.

Seems like EVERYONE in my area that has a lifted truck runs these things. Dont get me wrong, they're great tires, but they're far too costly and too popular for me. I'd be looking at $340/tire + mount and balance for 295/70/17's compared to under $300 for a nitto trail grapp in the same size, or a tad smaller 285/70 of just about any other MT for only around 250-275 a piece. Also, I heard they recently changed the rubber compound and they dont last as long as the older compound did so the extra cost to tread life ratio no longer applies IMO.

Just gotta get the 295/70/17's and trim a tad more. Plus, they look better being a tad bigger IMO.

This was my 1st choice. I've read that they are great tire overall. But neing pricey, too common in lifted Chevy's or Ford and not to mention I already have common wheels (XD hoss in lifted Chevy's), I went with KM2s.

They are a great tire, just spendy and HEAVY. The guy at les schwab told me they were like 12-15 lbs heavier than my SXT MTs of the same size(per tire). And with a fairly heavy rim I opted for a lighter tire to keep the unsprung weight down. Other than that they are great. . . so i have heard.:)

ya toyos are heavy but they will outlast any other mt tire. ya there popular because they are kick ass. They are worth the money in my opinion.
