So I've been debating what tire to get for too long and would like to finally just settle on one. I'm torn between the BFG KO2 and the Toyo Open Country R/T. Living in Utah I do have to battle some snow and ice time to time and would prefer something that can handle that reasonably well. My wife and child ride in the truck too so I'd like something safe during those times or when the wife drives the truck in those conditions. Does anyone have experience with these on snow and ice? My last 3 cars were BMW M3's and have come to learn that the tire will make all the difference in the snow yet didn't know if the same applies to a heavy 4x4 equipped truck...

I love the R/Ts, but I live in SoCal, so I don't see snow. Hopefully I'll make it to the mountains in the next month or so and will be able to test them out.
