I was messing around under my '03 PreRunner today and noticed the word "TOYODA" stamped on it. Found it pretty interesting and thought I would share.
    Original power steering rack.

Its spelled with a D in Japan Im pretty sure, or atleast it used to be. You see a lot of parts with that and the TEQ logo on them in the older 'yotas.

yes Toyoda was the original name of Toyota, back when they made looms. They switched to Toyota when they started to make cars.

Toyoda is commonly found stamped on parts made in japan. Some of the subsidiary companies that were created to make parts continued to use the original Toyoda name, hence some parts having Toyoda on them.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Fun fact. Look at a power steering pump on a dodge (charger 5.7 for sure). It is also Toyoda made. Toyoda is the original name of toyota and is still found on many parts. Theyre actually known for some pretty good power steering pumps

OME 881 springs with 3/8 spacer. SCS SR8 16x8 Gunmetal 285/75/16 Yokohama G003 Nitros all 4 corners. Dakar rear leafs. Deckplate mod. Marlin Crawler 1200lb clutch. Redline hood struts. ECGS clam shell bearing. Philips LED headlights. Front Runner bed bars. Katskinz leather interior.
Another reason Toyoda was changed to Toyota was because the number of strokes for Toyota using Japanese character is 8. 8 being lucky # in Chinese/Japanese.

Hence Bejing Olympics starting date of
    8/8/08.
