Toyota refunded my $90.00. Thought it would never happen. Wilson Toyota in Bellingham is awesome!!! Still undecided about the vibs.

Guys...Since this TSB came out in 2008..does this mean that Toyota installed these new type insulator engine mount on the later tacomas. I have a 2010 double cab and I feel a slight vib only in the steering wheel while accelerating at around 2000rpms. That is the only vibrating issues I have and it's no big deal with it for me now. If this tsb covers it...what the heck.
    Thanks.....annnnndd I love my Tacoma :D

I would print out the TSB and bring it with you to a dealership. You would likely have to contact the dealership you bought it from to see if the TSB was completed...but I'm betting is wasn't completed or they fixed the issues on the newer trucks.

How bad were the vibes when you took it in? I've got a noise/slight vibration between 12-15 mph. It does it every time you accelerate/decelerate or hold the speed in that range. It doesn't shake the cab by any stretch of the imagination but it very obviously there. I dropped my truck off and the dealer said they couldn't hear or feel anything (apparently I got the brain dead technician). I've scheduled a ride along with the service manager next week but want to make sure the issue I'm having is in fact the one covered by the TSB or if I've got something else going on.

Another question, has anyone bought just the parts for this TSB and done it themselves? If they deny the TSB again I might go this route but was wondering what the parts ended up costing.

Took mine in yesterday for a gas peddle recall. They said their scanner could not read my computer. I'm quoting them "it could be our scanner wire or the battery in your trucks computer". I'm taking it in on Wed. next week for the peddle TSB and a vibration at 70mph.

FYI, the gas pedal trim is a safety recall, not a TSB. Recalls are mandatory for the dealership, the TSB's are a little different. They deny people quite a bit for TSB's claiming you need to show them the problem exists in your truck.

My vibs were enough to annoy me. My wife drove around not really noticing it. The techs noticed it but the key is 4x4. Drive the tech around in 2 wheel drive to see if they notice the noise. Then switch it into 4x4. Once the trucke smooths out there should be no qustion.

My vibes never vibrated my steering wheel or seat.It also varied daily. Mainly in the floor board. I'm not sure why that is. Likely depended on my mood. Also, find a smooth roadway and show it continues in drive, neautral, acceleration, and deceleration.

    Good luck.

Hey yodaman, since your vibration problems fixed have you had any recurring problems?
