It's pretty obvious to me that repeating negative behavior and baiting members is a sure way to get under a mod's skin.

    Anyway, call me crazy.

Here's the explanation, I test drove a bunch of trucks for 3 months before I decided then bought the one I liked.

    That was in 2016.

Like the truck more each day, haven't felt a need for the transmission to be reflashed.

I guess if they "fixed" the driveability on the best selling mid sized truck to make it even better that means even more doom and gloom for the upcoming Ranger.

Not hard at all. I simply said what many others think about your posts. You posted an article that was heavy on opinion and the factual portion was several months old and has been discussed as nauseam here.
What did you hope to accomplish with your post? Arguments? Did you want some attention?
If you don't like your truck then trade it for that Ranger. Go to the new Ranger forums and post.
    Good luck.

What have I done? I haven’t personally assaulted any members .
I posted an article about Toyota’s new engine tune, and commented that I believe the Ranger will eventually overtake the Tacoma.

Are TW memebrts more triggered than a band an purple-haired sjw feminist fat women?

I don’t think so, it’s just a core group of members who can’t see outside the Toyota distortion field.

Most people who got new tune said it was either an improvement, or a significant improvement.

Forum members original insulted me for telling upset owners to hold off on their conclusions until they get the new tune.

The old tune cohort began attacking shortly after this.

Yeah, the "expectations" part is a major factor in how I feel about the stock tune. From day one, the truck was enjoyable to drive. Nothing has changed in the almost three years of operations.

    Nice reply btw.

Comments like that confirm you are rather "clueless" imo.

Of the thousands sold per month, how many do you think were taken back to the dealer for a reflash to correct, maybe 1-3%? Maybe less than that?

    Serious question.

I think they're just trying to say you could have probably condensed your unhappiness with your truck into just one thread or that there's already just too many posts like this.

Now that is a great question. It would be interesting to know. There are a few techs that post here. @Ruggybuggy flipped the switch on for the MT crowd.

Given the generally positive nature of it and the couple minutes that it takes to do, they should either make it a service campaign or at least tell the dealers to deny no one who asks for it.

I guess I’m part of the 3%. ECM updated yesterday. I can now use D for around town instead of S4. Appears to work a lot better. I was not aware of the pending update but the tech was.

After the transmission TSB the truck drives fine, pulls harder than the 4.0 with a bit better mileage. Although I do enjoy ECT mode so hoping to catch one of those all the time ECT modules. Also running 285s now. Seem to have lost about 1-1.5L/100km , not complaining about the loss in mileage like others though as when you increase size and weigh you’ll sacrifice.

Way to many complainers and whiners on here.
