Toyota airbag settlement?

Hey tw friends, did you get a postcard with a class action settlement notice about airbag safety today. The postcard had a QR code and Sent me here, I placed screen shots to show y’all an example.

 

Not I, my buddy did for his Corolla though. I have a 2010.

 

Did he submit a claim?

 

nope, subbed though

 

Told me he would be but haven't heard from him since, roughly 2 weeks.

 

I got one in the mail. Scam? My VIN shows 0 unrepaired recalls on my toyota.com account and nhtsa.gov. The sus Toyota Airbag Control Unit Settlement site says my VIN qualifies for the settlement.

 

I received a post card a few weeks back on this for the wife's old corolla. Have not heard anything more as the car had been sold when we bought our prius.

 

Mine says the same. I'm guessing either the vehicle had the recall addressed prior to my ownership, or the settlement website just checks to see if your VIN is in the model year range for the settlement without knowing specific VINs. I have not received any mail notice though.

I got one and barely looked at it, I have a 2020 I bought new in October 2019..

 

I got the same thing but there were no years of tacomas listed. I used to own a 2002 and now have a 2021. I just figured it was a scam.

 

I received 2 of these in the mail. I had a 2012 that was totaled last year and now I own a 2019. I submitted both so we will see!
