A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I will make just that comparison as soon as my Taco gets to me, as we have a 15 Subaru OB and love it. Do you like yours?

There is no direct connection feel with cvt. it's ok in a car but I want connection while wheeling and towing.

I agree with you -- the shift points one feels in the Subaru are "artificial" as I have read on "subaruoutback.org"

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
Agreed. Manual transmissions may not be technically the best anymore, but a well done manual is more fun to drive. Count me among those who would never own a sports car (for the road, not track) without a manual. I know the modern dual-clutch units are much faster, but I don't find them near as involving.

I obviously went AT with the truck and I do regret that from time to time.

Look at ford for the future of trucks, no one is doing what they are. Less weight, turbo and many speeds.

We're now on our 2nd Camry Hybrid, and I have to admit, our first one, an '07 model gave that feel. But, you drive it and get used to it. We bought a '12 and it was like comparing night and day. Much quicker response, without that "slipping clutch" feeling. The overall driving experience is vastly improved. It's no sports car, but that thing will scoot when you push down on the fast pedal.

Personally, I think a hybrid Tacoma is a great idea. Small engine for good gas mileage, and then the electric motor kicks in whenever a load is placed on the engine. We've had a great experience with hybrids. Next year we'll probably look at both the Highlander and RAV4 hybrids.
