Toyota Announces Voluntary Safety Recalls of Certain Camry, Venza and Tacoma Vehicles

Yeah...... I think if you get one done they are required to do it all! I took my truck in to get it checked out when I bought it used.... They said it was in awesome shape and that they went ahead and did the gas pedal recall for me...... It hasn't felt the same since. I liked the old shape!

Had my changed already for early ownership issues and it is still causing problem; about time they do something.

TRD's come without the steering wheel controls ?

 

mine doesn't have steering wheel controls.

I'm getting mine checked out on the 24th to see if I'm eligible

my airbag light went on couple months ago

i brought my truck in for some other stuff(4wd clunk,etc) before my warranty was up
and didnt know the gas pedal recall
was for tacomas
some douche mech cut so much off my pedal its ridiculous
its so crappy lookin too its funny
dont really care that much as long as push=gas
but it looks like he used those school safety scissors
to cut it
if it can be done wrong
it will be done wrong for me

not used to talking through a keyboard. I'm new at this. I dont really care about the pedal,it just looks silly. About as silly as these long sentences. You know what, I think its my eyes and im lazy, the way i usually write you don't have to move your eyes.

The dealership just told me that I am not eligible for the recall because I do not have steering controls..

i'm in just have to wait for the parts to come in. I was told by a tech that right now Toyota is allowing 1 spiral cable per dealer per month?!

 

I am worried about the same thing. Wonder what the best way to handle it. I don't want the gas peddle cut. There is no reason for IMHO on my truck.

 

A lil bit of back and forth and me showing them the paperwork they finally gave in and did the recall

 

Mine came on about a year ago, finally got it fixed in Jan. I called the 800# once thin recall went out and they said my VIN(TRD OR, 4WD, steering wheel controls)wasn't on the list. They even had my case# from my original call to them and I also explained that I had filed a complaint with the NTSB based on everything I had read about this issue. Hopefully our VIN's will get added.

 

You must have missed all the tundra frames around the place. I was amazed at that!

 

Got mine done last week. Light actually came on instead of airbag deploying when I slid off the interstate and hit a fence. Toyota's lucky I wasn't injured, would have sued the crap out of them!

 

Mine just came on the other day. Is it only replaced under warranty? Cause mine is out.
