Toyota App. Maintenance data went missing

The service history in my Toyota application went missing with the exception of my first oil change and a service I entered in... There were several more entries that are gone. Does the dealership have the ability to delete these entries?

I don't pay for the app, I let it expire after one year but the entries were there up until a month or so ago.

Any ideas?

Next time you’re at your dealer for maintenance just have them print everything they have for your 2021.

Consider this a lesson learned. Always get a printed copy from any shop that services your vehicle. Scan and backup, then file the original paper copy. Old school is better for this stuff, don’t rely on an app. In fact, say this out loud and see how it sounds “I spent $40k on a vehicle and I’m utterly reliant on an app for it’s service history.” Then try this one on “all the paperwork is filed downstairs.”

 

When any maintenance is performed by dealer it is always a good idea to request a hard copy. MTG

 

All the data is back in the app, according to some people in the know, the Toyota app had issues last week.

I agree on the paperwork, and I do keep copies.

When I do my own oil changes and such, I just keep copies of the receipts for the oil, air filters or whatever it is I changed...

I also make a note in my service manual for the date things were done.

I did not do this for my 99 Tacoma, but I don't care, I don't think I will ever sell it anyway.
