If you can do a write up that would be great. This was the one feature that my 09 didn't come with, and wanted. Dealer told me it was almost impossible to find one with it in it.

Also, when someone calls, does the radio display the number? or it is just a hands free option?

I am very interested in this mod. I will have to out the button next to the AUX and A_TRAC. All buttons on left of steering are full. Could you explain how this works? Very new to this, and I am having trouble understanding how this works. When I call comes in, doI hear the ring over the radio and then push the button? Does the phone sync as soons as you enter the truck?

    Thanks!

I would do a write up if it wasn't already installed. The instructions that come with the unit are very good plus it's all plug and play nothing to cut or solder. Look up the part # I provided in the first post. On my radio the #'s do not show up on my radio and I would assume the same for all the other tacos that didn't come with Bluetooth from the factory

That slot would work just fine. When a call comes in it mutes your radio and you can hear the phone rining over the speakers, you can answer by pushing the talk button or using your phone you then proceed to conversate via the mic

Cool. Thanks for the tip. The cheapest I saw this was for $177. Is that what you paid?

For the 09's, I have seen some that have buttons on the right of the steering wheel. Do you have any idea what those buttons are for?

I'll post a pic if you don't know what I am talking about. Thanks

Looks really good. I have the TRD off road, so the only spot I could put mine will be next to the cigarette outlet. Not sure how convenient that will be when I am driving.

There was an option for the JBL system to come with blue tooth. I wanted that feature, but my dealer said that Toyota didn't make many taco's with that option. I find that hard to believe...

If you could. The only slot I see open is down by the AUX. And like someone already posted, that seems kinda tough to get to. It is kinda low, so I feel it might be a safety issue when a call comes in. I might have to take my eyes off the road. Hmmm, gotta investigate more.

I wonder if we could get someone with a '09 DC topost where the button is on the OR and Sport models.

What the dealer meant was; this is the Taco we have here on the lot and we wanna make the sale now, we don't wanna go searching for what you want and have to do a dealer trade. The jbl option is as common as having the back up camera option

Yea I figured that. But I was doing the cash for clunkers trade in, Didn't have much time to wait for a truck to show up. Plus the nearest dealer that had the JBL option was 250 miles away...I am anal, and didn't want that many miles on the truck when I received it.

I dunno, I keep my phone inthe little slot next to the shifter. Can grab it, open it and talk away w/o looking away from the road. However, I would love to get the bluetooth. That much easier. I am going to have to try to press that blank while driving and see how it goes.

That was the one option I wanted and couldn't get. I cannot see why if we can buy OEM parts and do it ourself.

I do have JBL with blutooth option in my truck. Blutooth button locate right of the stering wheel. microphone is right on top of the rear view mirror. I just talked with my salesman and says toyota can install the options for you but not all of the toyota service dept.
