Toyota can suck one (t100 tech)

apparently the clutch pedal bracket has some issue causing the firewall to flex, so i cant get the damn thing into first or second.... no recall at all so this is coming out of pocket ... i mean i know toyota only made 500k or so of these trucks, but by them not recalling this when it happens to almost all of them kinda sullies me on them, and im sure there are plenty of t100 owners who have had this happen and have bought other trucks to replace theirs with when they went car shopping.

 

it doesnt entirely turn me off cause i believe its still a better truck than the 99 mazda that preceded it, but i hope this is the end of problem s

 

If Toyota only made 500,000 of these trucks, then only about 50,000 had a clutch pedal?

 

back in the 90s america wasnt filled with a bunch of automatic wanting pussies, sticks were still sought after, so im sure that number is higher.

 

Reinforce the firewall.

 

I take it the flex happened recently? Did some weld actually break on the firewall?
