Billy 5100's all around. Otherwise, the truck is OLD and STOCK.
Wait for the 2012 Taco. Just be patient and pretty soon you'll be happily cruising in a new 2012.

If you can't afford an extra 300-500 dollars on top of $32k, for a plane ticket and gas, you may want to rethink your decision to purchase a $32k vehicle...

Talk to your local dealership and see if they can do a dealer trade with another dealership. That's what they did for me. I found the truck in Colorado and they brought it up to Nebraska for me.

Woah there buddy! I asked for an opinion but the decision is MINE. Seriously theres always someone that has to make a dumbass comment like this. Im just asking for opinions, not for someone to make it for me. Thx for your input though

$250 one-way ticket to Omaha + $500 (Approx 1500mi worth of fuel) = an extra $750 to get exactly what you want. You'll get to know your truck and have a killer road trip back to CA at the same time. Leave on a thursday afternoon and you're home by Sunday night with a days worth of fun wheeling on your way home! If you can't afford this or see the value/fun in it, time to start looking for something else.

I can afford the vehicle just fine, But its gonna be more than 300-500 for a road trip because I would have to take time off work. I think I want to save that for a vacation.

That would be EPIC! but it would be even more epic if the road trip was IN a taco! instead of a car thats falling apart.

As for the price, if you have a costco membership they get it for you at list cost basically. a 2011 ac or was like 29k. And I know they can find one for you and have it delivered. They have access to all the stealerships in america, they can find you the one you want, its not like its an uncommon truck. I'd recommend the off road too. the locker isnt full time, but when you need it and dont have it you'll wish you did.

I love my MGM and I really don't find it hard to keep looking nice at all. Only time it really looks like hell is in the winter with the salt. I've had white vehicles and will never have a gain. WAY harder to keep clean IMO. Especially since you will see every last little bug or something you might miss. At least with MGM If I'm doing a quick wash job I don't have to worry about little things stand out.

MGM was the only color I wanted and would get it again. And if it's what you want, don't settle. Get the exact truck you want and do it right the first time. I was lucky to have the dealer locate the exact truck I want within a few weeks. As far as OR vs Sport, if you're really not doing any off roading you're fine with the Sport. I liked the looks better and the little bit of off roading I do the Sport has never failed me. Had they had a MGM OR on the lot when I got mine I would have bought it, but since they had neither I went with the Sport they found first.

Find a used one until the Toyota thing gets worked out. Its going to be longer than they are claiming. Of course they won't say that to keep people from looking elsewhere. They will use this event to get full MSRP for their trucks since this will affect stock for the rest of the year. Used trucks will go at a higher premium as well if that happens until the demand drys up.

They will probably use the no parts issue to avoid TSBs I suspect too.

IF you have to fly somewhere to buy a truck they will have you bent over when you get there. they are under no law to sell you a vehicle at any price. If they see that you traveled that far they will know you are "in love" with the truck. Every consumer advocate will tell you not to fall in love with any vehicle. Traveling hundreds of miles will do nothing to dissuade the dealer from that fact.
