    x2.

My first truck I bought because it was equipped the way I wanted, the price was right but I didn't care much for the color. Drove it for 12 years and hated the color every day for those 12 long years. But the damn thing wouldn't die. Finally the air conditioning gave out on a long ride up the central valley on a 104 degree day.

Now I'm getting a Tacoma equipped exactly like I want and the color I want. Should arrive next week as it is already enroute to the dealer. Sunday I was at the dealer and they had about 20 2011 Tacomas. Almost all were 4x4s. Some double cabs, some access cabs, and some TRDs. In my search all the dealers in the area, Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, Auburn, Yuba City, Elk Grove, Davis, etc. had mostly 4x4s and double cabs and many TRDs. Most have their inventory on their website. You might try searching each dealer or go with a broker which sounds a lot easier but you will pay more because they work off commissions. Dealer trade might work better if you can find a dealer that has what you want. Takes a lot of time and effort to do that though.

Having said that there is a difference between not getting exactly what you want and settling for something you can't live with.

    Good luck.

My current truck is gray and I agree. It hardly shows the dirt. The new truck I'm buying which should arrive next week is Pyrite Mica. I don't think it will show the dirt much either.

Nope. I've had two 4x4s in my life. Used 4WD four times. Twice in the snow. The other two times at the beach parking my travel trailer in the sand. I don't ski anymore, I don't have a travel trailer anymore, and have no intention of going off road. These days the only reason I need a truck is the occasional trip to the dump or picking up plywood or other lumber at the local big box home improvement store.

I always thought off road would be a fun thing to do. Especially the Rubicon. Just never had the time or opportunity.

I meant , you said the Mag grey doesn't show dirt , which means you must be on pavement all the time , because mine is constantly covered in dirt from our gravel roads .

So, found the exact truck you wanted - 2011 MGM TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed....but it's at the dealership I work for here in Rochester, NY.

I know you said you weren't terribly interested in making a road trip out of it, but I can get you in touch with a sales person who won't rape you on the price, (as someone said a dealer would do if they knew you went to great lengths), get a sold tag on it, and hell, I'll even pick you up at the airport.

If you are more serious about it, check it out here. I wish I could convince you that Rochester is a cool place to have a vacation, but really, we don't have a whole lot to offer tourists. Except the garbage plate. Terrible name, awesome food.

Call Boch Toyota in Norwood, MA. They have the best prices around the northeast and pretty much seam to have every truck you could imagine. They will also give you a price right over the phone. See what they can do for a price including shipping.

Just wait! It might be 2 weeks or it might be 2 months but it will be worth the wait. Because it will be exactly what you wanted to begin with, and perhaps Toyota will throw you a bone since they canceled your order.

Well i dont Reeeeealy need a Scoop, its not a deal breaker, but i Reeeeealy dont need an OR and i really dont like chrome at all. It just makes sense for me to get a sport. Im gonna go to a dealer and see if they can find me the one i want. If they cant then ill consider the OR. I also need to see how low i can haggle. Looks like my bargaining skills will be put to the test.

When I got my 10, I was told that Toyota didnt do orders at all, even if I waited for an 11. Oh well, the only thing that I would have gotten different would be the MGM or Black instead of the Silver.

Yeah...50 miles is NOTHING!! I had a car trucked to my front door from 350 miles away...and paid less than invoice...nothin wrong with being picky.

There's a MGM double cab over at Hanford Toyota. It's a manual and I can't tell if it's a offroad or sport. But it is a 4x4!
