I was thinking about this some over the weekend. Due to the existence of the vibrations only at a specific speed range, you can greatly reduce the number of possible causes. Look for things that are effective exclusively by speed and by nothing else. Tires, axles, driveshaft, and that's about it. Bearings could be in there but they're not really affected by the forces of acceleration.

The torque converter spins with the engine and not the final drivetrain. It speeds up and slows down as the engine does and doesn't directly tie to MPH. If the torque converter was the cause then you'd have the vibrations at certain RPMs rather than a narrow speed range.

Just trying to help in the troubleshooting. Hope you find a solution soon!

I have the same symptoms on a bone stock 05 prerunner. My driveline vibrations are very consistent. On light acceleration i get a bad shudder between 25-35 mph. Upon harder accel, I don't have any vibes...

I have a 2005 DC SB TRD Off road. The truck just passed 103,000 Miles. The vibration feels like it's at the 2-3 gear change. When I accelerate lightly, the truck has a bad shudder around 25-30mph. If I let off the gas, it stops. Now when I accelerate hard, I dont have any issues. Could this be a torque converter issue? or possibly a TSB the previous owner neglected?

    This is my issue...
    ARE YOU EXPERIENCING THIS?
details: At slow starts between 25 to 40 mph the truck will shake, hard shifts especially on downshifts, must be on flat streets or slight uphill. Bilsteins front at 2.5 and on the rear. I also have a AAL and the toyota tsb too.

Okay sorry to play devils advocate here but why should toyota figure this one out. Someone has modified their vehicle and caused an issue. If the paint was peeling after somone did a custom paint job would you expect the same service? It seems like they are throwing enough money at it to satisfy a bunch of us. If you lifted your truck, be man enough to accept the consequences OR pull the lift kit and see if that solves the issue, if not bring it in without the lift to get it solved...

it sounds like since you lifted your truck it put the ubolts on youre d-shaft at an angle, try using axle shims to angle the pumpkin more straight

I had the same problem with a Ford explorer. It was the tires/rims. I took it to ford 8 times before they changed them under waranty. They managed to balance the tires with 10-12 weights on the rim but I demanded new tires and rims. Try swapping out all of the rims and tires. especialy if they aren't factory.
