For the actual work portion? sure. But you include getting the vehicle, bringing it in the shop, lifting it, and reverse of all that. Plus the tech has to do the paperwork for the vehicle, and go sign out the oil filter from the parts area. All takes time.

Meh..way it works at my dealership is there is an "inspector" that brings it in and racks it up..the inspector will take the tires off while the actual tech is handling the oil change..inspector will inspect everything in the motor compartment including checking lights and wipers.. once he gets the tires off he'll inspect underneath. When the tech is done with the oil change he will reinstall the tires while the inspector is typing everything in the electronic inspection sheet that ford calls Quailty Care Report Card.. each lube tech/ inspector team can usaully knock out 2 oil change/ tire rotation (works service) at the same time or or so using two racks next to each other

fair enough. and for the record - I appreciate your insight and point of view - chick or not :p

Everything adds up. My issue was more that they left parts in the engine compartment than the time.

I got a 3 or 4' section of 5/16" ID fuel line and permantly installed with a hose clamp. It's routed through a hole in the skid plate and tucked above when not in use. The end gets capped off after it's done draining... never had one drop on the driveway. I use 2 oil change pans... one under the drain plug and one under the filter drain hose.

Don't care - chick, dude, trannie whatever.

Good insight no matter the gender or the bender.

I did miss the point on the timing of all the things that need to come together to get a car in / done & out.

None yet, but sure to come!
They haven't tried to pin it on me yet, but I am definitely prepared for that. I am guessing there is a checklist or shop materials list of some sort that the service tech had to complete at the 5000 mile. Thats proof that he cracked the cap on the brake fluid. On the other hand, there is no way they could prove that I did, even if I had. Which I didn't. :)

If it makes you feel better I am on my third one so far, found the light with one battery on Amazon for about $120 when i lost my second one. Hopefully it'll be my last one but I seriously doubt it.

Didn't notice date, this thread was mentioned in another so I had some fun reading it. If he's like most he's lost a few more tools in random cars over those years.
