Hey guys. This is probably a pretty easily answered question so bare with me if it sounds stupid. But I found this credit card shaped pieced of plastic with a key stamped out of it with the words Toyota Care printed on it in the glove box of my truck. I figured it's a spare key from Toyota.... But the strangest part is It won't fit in the ignition nor will it fit in any locks! Is it for something else..? Or maybe I wasn't fitting it right in the igniton/lock?

Thanks. Have a picture if no one knows what I'm referring to

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
Toyota Care is like a service plan and shit you can get. Is the key grey? If it is, suppose to be valet key from what I understand..

Probably just a dummy key to advertise Toyota Care. Toy used to give you a plastic key you could put in your wallet for emergencies, was hoping my new taco came with that. And to the above poster, I'm sure it's not the valet key since that is metal.

i think it is just suppose to unlock the door(s) and that it. like if you lock you’r keys in the truck and have that plastic key in you’r wallet. ^^he is 1st gen. idk if he would have the valet key.
