Toyota Care Maintenance worth the hassle?

Mine came with this kit. For me it was part of Toyoguard Elite package

 

Don't mix up ToyotaCare and ToyoGuard if you want salient answers. If you didn't make the salesman help you understand what he was saying or get someone who could make you understand, that's on you not them.

ToyotaCare - first two years / 24,000mi maintenance, comes with nearly every new Toyota AFAIK - http://www.toyota.com/toyota-care
ToyoGuard - adds additional prepaid maintenance beyond ToyotaCare as well as other stuff, it's a profit center for SouthEast Toyota, mostly I consider it a wast of money but it is difficult to avoid paying for unless you order the truck -- http://explore.setbuyatoyota.com/accessories/toyoguard/

 

I've reached 10k and am scheduled to take my truck in friday morning. I had my tsb performed 5k ago but its shifting early between 3rd and 4th gear still. I'm hoping everything gets sorted out

 

Is this supposed to come with Toyoguard platinum? I did not get one, but I do have toyoguard platinum...

 

I ditched going to the dealer after 10k. But that's because I like working on the truck myself and hate making an appointment only to have to wait an hour once I get there.

 

disregard, platinum does not come with the kit per toyoguard website.
