I wonder if the windows were left cracked and the tape was left on for the proper length of time, or how soon after installation the truck was driven.
I'm going on my 2nd windshield in less than a year and they gave me pretty specific instructions on how to allow the windshield to seal properly. Maybe the guy was too busy drooling to do a quality job and provide quality instructions.

Thanks, maybe but I didn't drive it for 2 days and left the tape on that whole time and still rolled windows down to shut door.:)

...and to see if she folds and posts pictures!

By all rights though, you can't claim you are hot and not post pictures. Maybe you are just smarter than us men and used that in your title line to get 4 pages of responses.

I post a question and struggle to get a single response. I may try your tactic!

Jilly07, the insurance company NEEDS to know and this guys balls need to be served.......I broke the side window out of mine ( TV's leaning on them puts nice spidies:rolleyes:;) ) and the insurance company sent a "jobber" out.....They brought clear glass instead of tint....NOT...Factory replacement means just that....The tech apologized and came back the next day with the right glass....I'm of the notion you will not settle for 2nd best ,so get it fixed to your satisfaction ............GOOD LUCK.......

Believe me the insrurance co. knows and I told them not to recommend that ass bag to anybody else. I'm taking her into shop next week. This guy put my bull bar & K C lights on, so I trust him. I just didn't know that he also did windshields. Thanks

    WOW,

Some of you might be tough on trail rides, take a wrong turn and end up in Canada .......this thread has gone from helping a "Taco owner",turned right at "Maxim pix",two lefts at "Beat it" and now we are looking for gas at the intersection of why? and where the he!! are we...;)

Jilly07, you do see the ramifications of letting a "Lady" take the lead from a group of guys..they will follow you through the Mud Bog instead of a puddle, try foolishly to climb a mountain instead of the hill and show their "Flex" or how they can transform "Stock" into 4-6" more:eek:.....

A good read on windshield replacement:
    http://www.acrglass.com/cure_time.htm

I have also found that if the installer puts pressure on the glass or hits it with mallets, the glass will in fact distort....

I've done windshields before and this guy was trying everything to not have to take out that windshield. When you said the "old" man couldnt "handle" the windshield thats what went wrong. when you cut it out that cut you leave needs to be level because that is your surface for the new eurathane, cutting through eurathane with the cutter is no joke trust me especially if its cold out. when it is put back on you have to be really careful to get it laid on there without smearing it around and causing air pockects. a lot of windshields need 2 guys to actually do it but who is gonna waste wages on a guy to stand there and help you place the windshield for 5 mins(on a mobile business). in a shop odds are someone is there to help. I will say a mobile business can do just as good a job as the shop but if i seen an old guy out there trying to handle my windshield i would have called the shop. Hope your windshield gets fixed right.
