Yeah it is pretty cool, back in the day when you could go to a restaurant (anyone remember those days?) I would put it in Valet mode... it would limit the speed to 25mph, no more then 2 miles, no further out then 2 mile radius, and no longer then 30 minutes. I have a issue with Velets, I trust them as far as I can see them.

Anyone else having trouble with the Toyota App lately? It was working fine, but in the past couple weeks something changed and I can't even open the app without it crashing. It's cold, and I would like to be able to use the remote start to warm the truck up.

I dont have it as my truck is a manual. It was nice to see tire pressures, milage and fuel levels though. Not worth the money for that in my case. I wont get it on my wifes 21 camry either as she has the trusty old key and remote start is not an option on a keyed vehicle unlike my ford ranger with a key.....

How much does ford charge for this service? I have a 2020 ranger stx work truck that ive had just over a year from my company and remote/schedule start still works past the 12 month mark.

Started having problems with it last month. So much so that I did not renew and the free 1 year service expired yesterday. Why pay for something if it doesn’t work.

I called Toyota this morning, they opened a ticket for tech to check out my app connection on the back end. I'll let yall know what I find out. They said I should hear back by next Wednesday.

Hope you have better luck with them than I did. Worked fine until an upgrade a month or so back. I reported it, but no joy. It did work intermittently for a while. Not going to pay for something that is not reliable.

Just wanted to follow up on this. They got the app working again towards the end of November. Toyota reached out once a week to keep me updated on progress. Seems to be working fine now. As an aside, I recently got a smart watch and the app works on it which is pretty great. I went from pretty frustrated to surprisingly happy in a month.

I didn't renew the service back in Early November because of all the problems. As of yesterday I can still remote start my truck with the fob from inside my house so all is good.

I was having a lot of issues with the app logging me out constantly. I use Bitwarden as well (to keep different, secure passwords on all my sites/apps) so the password isn't something quick to type in. It recently resolved itself and is working much better even with FaceID. I also use the watch app to start/warm up the car in the morning. Actually have an alarm set to remind myself to start the car on weekdays so it'll be ready to drive to the kids to school.

So If I have the ability to remote start via the app w/ connected services sub, does that mean I can use my fob too? Or is the fob remote start a specific feature on certain trims? I've never been able to get it to work via the fob when I've tried.

You can use the Fob by pushing lock three times and on the third push hold it for 3-5 seconds. I have an OR and it worked with the trial and after the trial expired.

There's a method to their madness. They want you to use their proprietary software so they get that revenue stream from subscription fees & data collection.
