    Ordered my 17 Tacoma with the (CT) option all weather mats, but I was just informed that they have been discontinued and replaced with all weather mat (2T). a lot of people weren't happy with the (CT) mats as they said the passenger mat slid around on the floor and where thin. I wonder if this new mat set might be improved or redesigned to make it work better.

    It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    Just get some huskys. But anythings better than the (old) toyota ones

    I have all weather mats in my 2017 and they aren't bad, but the passenger one does slide around absolutely.

    Yeah , during the ordering process I tried to add package (LL) with (BZ) they could not add LL as it was a conflict with BZ so they changed the order from BZ to LL. The dealer did not inform me until the truck came in and it was not what I wanted so we had to reorder in September. I have a new order in with a build date of 11-9 And then found out yesterday about the floor mats which is no big deal. I was pretty upset with my dealer because they should've known that was coming in they gave me a Vin number and everything but of course they blamed it all on Toyota corporate and I'm trying to be nice and be patient hopefully negotiate a better deal in the end .

    BZ = Utility package
    LL = Convenience package

    Don't suppose they're switching out the old passenger mats. Mine is all over the place like a slip n slide.

    When i bought my truck two weeks ago i asked the salesman if it came with floor mats. I asked because it didn't have any in there. He said yes. I was like OK cool. So after signing paperwork I walked out to the truck with the sales guys and noticed they hadn't put them in. Right as we started talking about it the general manager came out to say congrats on the truck. So i asked where my mats where with them both standing there. Well come to find out that i do not get floor mats with it (which is stupid), so the manager told the sales guy to fix me up. Long story longer, i didn't get the OE mats they ended up giving me Weathertechs.

    I have always wanted to try Weathertech mats. When i got them out of the box the first thing i noticed was how thin they were. Second thing i noticed was the bottoms were really smooth so i can see these sliding around. I got them installed last night and the look good. My truck is a 2017 and these mats are for 2016. I assume there is no change in the floor pan. They mold to the floor pretty well. I will see how they do over time and give an update the middle of next week. I will also try and get a couple of pictures uploaded of them installed.

    I noticed the exact opposite on mine set of WT's. When I lifted then out of the box, I said ouch because the teeth from the floor mat were digging into my arm.

    My first 17 Tacoma was built August 28 and had the CT option, my second order of a 17 was changed to 2t with a build date of 11-9. I was told it was a running change . The early 2017 order did list CT because I ordered it and received it.

    Like stated, the option code has now been changed to 2T = All Weather Floor Liners & Door Sill Protectors

    I have WeatherTech and can honestly say get Husky liners. My WeatherTech dont fit like how they are described. I have gaps everywhere. Called and spoke to WeatherTech and they said thats how they are designed that they should fall into place after time. Well its been quite a few months and I still have the gaps. From all the pictures of the Husky liners I have seen, they all fit snug.

    Hopefully this change fixes the issue of the passenger one sliding around like it's nobody's business, it annoys the shit out of me. Makes me want to switch them out for the huskys

    Here are what I bought for my truck -- seemed far cheaper to buy them as accessories for $101 instead of with the truck (SET MR1000 All Weather Mats option, $209 invoice, $309 MSRP)

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017YAIJYM

    I'm assuming they're the old version. I'll be curious to see how the new ones are functionally different. My passenger side mat doesn't seem to move much. ??

    When I was shopping, the all weather mats plus door sill protectors was a combination package that added these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017YBNDEC

    As for Weathertech -- when I contacted them in early September to ask about fitment for 2017 they claimed they didn't yet know. Sure, I figured they ought to fit, but if the manufacturer didn't know by then... I'd completely forgotten about Husky and my truck ended up coming in a lot earlier than originally expected. We'll see how long the OEM last.

    Only a couple months use. The are deformed and mangled and feel like jello.

    This is what i was afraid was going to happen. I will use them since they were free and when they start to deform and roll over on the sides i will buy something like the all weather floor mats.

    I'll be interesting to see your result. Three weeks in and mine are perfectly fine. Time will tell.

    Since yours came with the truck though, I would think you'd have coverage against defects at least for a year -- while wearing a hole in one with you right heel probably wouldn't be covered, I'd say there's a good argument that deformation/mangling is a defect.
