    They do that for legal reasons. Toyota doesn't want to get sued for NOT checking if a floor mat is "safely installed".

    Same thing as McDonald's putting a warning label on a coffee that says "CONTENTS MAY BE HOT!"

    It's silly but that is where you end up when you are a huge corporation that gets sued (or attempted) every 30 seconds

    That's a no-comm code with the SAS; start by verifying power and ground to the module. Could be something as simple as corrosion on the connector.
